ito po yung sinabi sa akin ng friend ko na sa KL na ngayon. saan po ba may agency o employer dito sa pinas. wala po nabanggit yung kaibigan na madami pang pagdadaan na process ang pagpunta sa Malaysia. tyaka wala rin po nabangit yung kaibigan ko na nagpamedical at etc. pa siya base on what i read in this forum. at tyaka hindi po ba mahirap ang process na mangyayari. this is my 2nd post i nakalimutan ko kasi po isama ang message na to sa previous kong message naisip ko lang po kasi to... salamat po.

Hi po. Im planning to go to Malaysia soon.

Im sure while looking for work, marami kang matatanungan nian regarding sa process ng permit..

Welcome po sa Malaysia...

Hi, I was a direct hire and worked in Malaysia (one year permit) as a nurse under an American Doctor but I am not registered in the POEA. Before the one year permit expiration, my boss wants to renew my work permit.. But I said I need to register at POEA first that's why he let me go back to the Philippines to formally register. Thanks for having this forum as it really helped me a lot..

However, as i follow the steps as a direct hire, I'm having the dilemma of maybe purchasing the wrong flight ticket back to Malaysia. Our company is actually based in Johor Bahru (JB) which is very close to Singapore that's why I purchased Manila-Singapore.. As I re-read thoroughly the requirements, I am thinking or maybe over-thinking that it requires a direct flight to Malaysia. Does it necessarily need a flight directed to KL only?  Sad

@And1gonzaga

IO will ask you why you're going to SG if you're deployment is in MY. Although it make sense since JB is one bus away from SG but Immigration Officer will not think that way. Since you're going to SG  before Malaysia  so your  OEC will not cover you as OFW , since you are going in SG as a tourist so normal Travel Tax, Terminal Fee and Expect an Interrogation ( women are mostly harrass with PH IO  due to rampant prostitution in SG) will follow.

Just weigh  it  Ticket Fare  + convenience ( you will exit PHL as legal OFW)   Versus  entering SG as tourist + all those applicable fees

Thanks for the info @lilprgrmr, but i'm actually more concerned about the flight ticket to be shown to the malaysian embassy here. I was wondering if it will be a big deal for them.

And what sir skyrise says about the IO and OEC in the philippines. Did you have any problems explaining to the IO here and is your OEC still valid if you transit thru SG?

Hi And1gonzaga,

You'll just have to convince them that your only going to SG for transit going to MY not for vacation or anything. Maybe  all those papers will help you out.  Grin  Goodluck!

Thanks Skyrise, maybe i'll call the malaysian embassy first to know if my case is valid. Just to save time before filing my requirements. Smiley

I have a Filipino friend who wants to come over and work here. She mentioned that she was sent an offer letter from a company. Does this mean she will be given a work permit or a visa of some sort other than a tourist visa processed by the offering company? What are the necessary documents that she has to bring or process before she comes here? What is POEA?

Hello,

Need help sa mga direct hire from MSC status company. Upon reading kasi, ung usual is reference visa then apply for POEA here then sa MY na ung process ng EP. Yung sa employer ko ang advise is tourist daw ako mgeenter then ung POEA dun na ipprocess thru an agent since mas mabilis at mura daw pag dun na. Then agent lang ung eentertain dun not individual.

Stage 1 application to MDec
Prepare  required documents to Agent for POEA process
Original POEA required for Stage 2 Application
Employment Pass obtained  from Immigration

D po ba ko mahirapan sa immigration kase as a tourist tpos wala akong return ticket. Confuse lang.
Salamat po... Smiley

Be sure ask mo sa employer about RT.  :-)
