My first company is a direct hire and it took me 3weeks po...

First and foremost it depends on your company status . If your company is MSC status it should be faster...Because MSC status company have specific immigration office to process all the application.Else you will undergo a local processing that will really takes time..

For MSC Status company, they actually have stages of application
- First they will get all your documents. Then people from Immigration will check all your credentials if you are suitable for the position. If you passed all the qualifications..

This procedure requires the FKW (Expatriates) to be in their country of origin while their Approval (Stage 1) application is being processed.

Q1: How does your FKW (Expatriate) apply for Reference Visa?

Step 1
Original Approval Letter issued by MDeC, will be couriered to you, the MSC Malaysia Status Company. You need to forward this letter to the FKW (Expatriate) in his/her country of origin. For reason of authenticity, please DO NOT OPEN the envelope which is addressed to the Malaysian High Commission / Emabassy.
Step 2
The FKW (Expatriate) is to go to the respective Malaysian High Commission / Embassy in the country of origin bringing along the Approval Letter and apply for a Reference Visa there.
Once visa is obtained, FKW (Expatriate) may enter Malaysia to proceed for Endorsement (Stage 2).

Note 1: For reason of authenticity, please DO NOT OPEN the envelope which is addressed to the Malaysian High Commission/Embassy.
Note 2: FKW (Expatriates) from Philippines and Sri Lanka, need to register at their foreign employment bureaus before they can proceed to collect reference visa at the Malaysian Embassy i.e. Philippines Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) in Philippines and Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment
In order for the applicant to apply for POEA in Philippines, company in Malaysia needs to get attestation from the Philippines Embassy in Malaysia first. Please click here for documents checklist.
Note of caution:
The approval by MDeC and reference visa issued does not grant a valid stay to the FKW (Expatriate) in Malaysia until the issuance and endorsement of passes by Immigration Department of Malaysia. Therefore, please forward all Endorsement (Stage 2) documents as soon as the FKW (Expatriate) arrives as to avoid possible overstaying in this country. This is due to Immigration Department of Malaysia issuing only 1-2 weeks special/social pass at point of entry. We must receive all completed documents at least 10 working days before the special/social pass issued at entry point expires.

Maybe you can send me via PM your company name so that I can check it if they are MSC status...so that I know how to answer your question properly.

I hope this will help you out..

:-)

Mod Jhaypee is also direct hire... :-)

I hope I can help as well, Im a direct-hire din (also called name-hires) for an MSC-status company.

Waiting for the Reference Visa took me around 2 weeks.
It took me 3 weeks din to process the paperwork. (Medical, Malaysian Embassy, at POEA).

As I understand, pinadalhan mo na sila ng signed contract mo, plus photocopy ng passport (all pages, pati yung blank pages), CV, diploma, etc.

What you need to do is wait for the package which contains the document from the Company/Malaysian High Commission. This is called Reference Visa which contains the approval that you are granted permission to be employed to Malaysia. This package contains two envelops, 1 is for the embassy and 1 as your personal copy. Do NOT open the enveloped that is addressed to the Embassy.

Yung waiting period depends on the status of the company that hired you. Tama si Sir jetty, if MSC status, mga around 2 weeks lang yung approval. If not, maybe longer. Also maybe advise them to expedite yung pag-send ng Reference Letter/Visa and not on our local Post Office system.

Feel free to post more questions, we'd be more than happy to help. (boring lang talaga dito sa opis hehehe)

Walang anuman po...

Normally, yung 2 weeks ay magsstart lamang pag pasado ung requirements mo sa MDeC (MSC).. So just be patient po...Normally, ang unang mong marereceived is yung letter from MDeC (Reference Visa). Just keep communicating with your future employer so that you will be updated...

tagal ng application mo, usually ung sa side ng malaysia pag tapos mong magsubmit ng requirements sa company mo  at pag submit nila sa MSC mga 1 week lang ang process. wait for the letter ng MSC, ipapadala sau un, tapos magsusubmit ka naman sa Malaysia Embassy ng Philippines for the application of visa, usually dapat nasa 3weeks to 4 weeks lang lahat lahat , kasama na visa mo at medical, hehehe, bkit nga ba matagal, baka naman may problema lang sa company mo, hehe, kaya medyo dinedelay nila? nakapag resign ka na po ba? anu na po ba nangyari sa work mo hehehe.

In my case sa Biomedix Clinic located at 3/F Robinson's Galleria , then PDOS ko is sa may POEA mismo..Actually, Malaysia Medical Check up is one of the most expensive po...compared to other countries..madami po kasi silang required na mga medical procedures...

You can go also sa manila..near Roxas Boulevard...madami pong mura dun...Dun banda ngpamedical si Mod Jhaypee..

I think you should not be worried since medical examination should be shouldered by your company po..

Agreee! Hehehe yung Malaysia maraming medical checkup. I did mine at Manila Doctors sa may Ermita.  Yung PDOS, very important yan kasi hinde ka makaka.alis pag wala kang PDOS Certificate. I think yung Asia/Pacific countries, may schedule sila every afternoon, if im not mistaken. And then walang PDOS pag Friday.

Good luck and hopefully we'll see you here hehe selamat datang ke malaysia!
