Hi To All!
I am very thankful sa thread na to. I am also a direct hire. Thanks sa mga inputs nyo, I was really guided through this thread.
I think detailed na yung updated steps (taken from kiten05's posting) posted by lilprgrmr (Reply #73, Page 5).
Additional advice na lang siguro and notes na rin. When you go to embassy, bring as well a copy of your previous employment certificates and diploma to be sure, hiningi sila sa akin. And be dressed properly when you go to the embassy to submit documents and even when you get the visa. No sandals and shorts. Yung nakasabay ko, hindi pinapasok, kasi naka tshirt. Pinabalik sya the following day. Hindi naman kelangan formal I think, naka jeans and polo shirt lang ako and rubber shoes that day. Pinapasok naman. Basta may collar daw.
In my case, I only received one copy of the document from MDEC (sent by the employer together with the employment letter/contract). It was unsealed. Sa iba kasi, they have 2 copies, the sealed one goes to the embassy and they have personal copy. Sa akin, unsealed pa actually yung from MDEC, kaya pinaphotocopy ko na rin bago ko binigay sa embassy for future reference. Pero tinanggap naman and wala namang tanong kahit unsealed.
Sa POEA, I don't know kung strict sila sa damit, may nakita kasi akong nakashorts and pinapasok naman. Although mas ok na siguro to dress properly. Sa POEA Step 1, hinanap din nila yung previous employment certificates ko as additional document. You might be given a form that contains additional terms to be submitted to your employer and to be acknowledged by the employer. Depende ata kasi sa contents ng contract. Medyo pampatagal din to sa process kasi I have to send the form to employer and wait again for the said form to continue with POEA processing. Pero this will just be presented sa Step 2.
Sa PDOS, I used EWOF, Electronic Workers Onrientation Facility. I would say it's an online PDOS. Same din sya with the classroom type according to the administrator, pero ito kasi, sa PC na lang, one to one. Then naka modules na yung mga babasahin. May exam sa dulo ng module. Although hindi ko alam kung ano yung criteria for the EWOF, I think it's for professionals. Anyways, sinabi lang sa akin ng PDOS administrator about it. And I agreed na rin, kasi that was Thursday, e sabi sa forum walang PDOS pag Fridays. I think mas convenient pa nga sya e.
Initially kasi sa Step 2, you will submit again the verified docs from Step 1, together with PDOS cert and the additional form in my case. Then they will give the ofw information sheet and pagibig form for you to fill up while waiting for your name to be called again to submit the information sheet and pagibig form. After this, the personnel at Step 2 will tell you to proceed to this window for the PAGIBIG processing. A PAGIBIG number will be given to you. Then to Cashier, sasabihin din ng personnel sa PAG-IBIG where's the cashier. After paying, tapos na. You will get the 3 copies of OEC. Just be sure to check the details on the OEC particularly the spelling of your name and 3 copies dapat.
So tapos na. Hehe. May OFW Guide Book naman, so I guess I am now prepared to go to Malaysia. Hopefully maging okay ang lahat pag nasa Malaysia na. God be with us. God bless us all.
