Hi everyone I am new here in this forum.

Just like to ask if its okay to look for work in MY eventhough I will only enter as a tourist.

Of course, if ever makakakuha ako ng work, I will get a valid working permit.

Gusto ko lang malaman baka kasi bawal pala. Smiley I am not too familiar with these things.

Thanks sa replies!

Regards to everyone here! Wink

It is not prohibited but not to encourage.

Try!  But you must know first if the field of work that you would like to apply here is applicable for Expats.  Grin

looking for work as tourist is not prohibited, but working as tourist yun po ang bawal hehehe, from what i see, kahit mahuli ka naman yta nilang naghahanap ng work is okey lang, wala naman cla pwdeng ikaso sau, basta make sure you process your papers once you got work. Saka dapat may valid visa ka hnd expired.

FYI lang po, medyo choosy dito sa malaysia for expats jobs, my language barrier kasi hehehe.

good luck po sa job hunting nyo.

you can visit this thread, it would be a big help for sure

Hello...

Since wala ako magawa... I'll answer your query...

No need my dear... Tourist visa for 30 days is automatically stamp sa passport mo ng (malaysian) immigration officer, dito na un pagdating mo sa Malaysia  Smiley

Happy new year!!!

And...

to comment on your initial query...

Looking for work in MY as tourist. .. is not prohibited here in Malaysia...

but I guess somehow prohibited jan sa atin...   Grin

So don't worry when you're already in Malaysia... but worry about how to get here in MY... (I'm referring sa immigration officer jan sa atin... mas madami sila questions para sau...)

aun lang po... just a comment...  Wink

I agree with raindear...

ang problema po is paano ka lalabas ng bansa...hehehe...

Pag dating mo dito, medyo madali na lang po... Mahirap lang pag aalis ka as tourist..lalo sa panahon ngaun medyo strict po sila..

=)

1. Make sure you have all your documents
2. Make sure you can show some proof that you can sustain yourself for the whole duration of stay
3. You should have a return ticket
4. You should have at least a hotel/accommodation (if you intend to stay on a friend's house get the full address)
5. Pray hard that immigration officer will not make a big bite (Buwaya attack)

If you intend to go to Malaysia as a Tourist kahit na you will be staying for 30 days or more.. make sure yung ticket mo is only like 3 or 4 days ang scheduled return trip mo. kasi if you will go as a tourist tapos ang kunin mong return ticket mo is 30 days pa obviously i-off load ka ng immigration dyan sa pinas kasi sbhin nila youo will look for work. kaya ang tip ko:
1. book a ticket with a return trip scheduled after 4 days.
2. have show money atleast enough to show you can afford to stay at a hotel or if you are staying at your friend's house you have money for food and shopping kuno mga Php 15 to 20k.
3. when you fill-out the immigration form just put 4 days of stay may kilala kasi ako return trip niya was 4 days after tapos linagay niya asking for 30 days hehe duh!
4. by the time you enter Malaysia irebook mo ticket mo agad up to the end of your stay para kung kailangan mo magexit or gusto mo mag u-turn para matatakan ka uli another 30 days, you dont have to buy a new ticket.

Sa 1 First Avenue ang Schlumberger and I see a lot of Pinoys there. Marami rin sa Standard Charter sa Crystal Plaza, ver near sa Asia Jaya station
