katakot naman reply mo jetty.. di naman... makakaalis ka pa rin without the OEC but you would have to pay travel tax and terminal fee.. but if you have OEC, libre na yun... Smiley

i was able to talk to someone dito sa piccadilly's sabi sa kin, upon arrival sa pinas you can get one at the OWWA counter sa NAIA terminal 3 for 100. at least di na punta ng POEA pero yun yung for stays that are less than a week lang.. otherwise, you need to go to POEA or dito sa embassy. sabi sa kin, sa OWWA counter daw nasa 3rd floor ng NAIA terminal 3 eh.. can anybody here confirm if this is true? nahaharass na ko kakaisip kasi short stay lang ako sa manila this thursday and im coming back on Sunday din.,..

Hi Crystelhues,

Hello po, not all the cases po is ganun...Nangyari na po yung case na yan sa dalawang friend ko dito...Di sila nakaalis ng pinas sa date ng flight nila due to that missing document(Balik Manggagawa-OEC).They even told them that we are willing to pay for the Travel Tax and Terminal Fee but still the immigration officer did not let them go. The reason behind po is they want to make sure that may babalikan ka pa talagang trabaho sa country of destination mo.Madami na kasi ung cases na pinauwi ng employer sa Pinas then they want to take a chance to get another job..so what they will do is ...they will try to enter that destination as tourist then find a job again since there previous visa (employment pass) is already expired/terminated. Ung iba mga over staying na...di nmn sila lahat kayang supportahan ng government natin since they didn't undergo with the right processing.

Di po ako nananakot, I'm just sharing it by experience..mahirap po kasi ang ganung case...esp for girls po...iba po kasi ang tingin nila pag babae ka.. :-(

Di rin po natin masisi ang Phil Government sa pagiging strikto..madami na po kasing illegal workers na pinoy dito..Others are overstaying...Minsan pag di sila nakauwi..super galit sa gobyerno kesyo wala daw ginagawa ang government and so on..The thing is..pano sila matutulungan ng maayos eh illegal stay na sila dito and tehy didn't undergo sa proper procedure...If palaging ganun ang mangyayari - illegal human trafficking ang labas ng embahada.... Yan po sana ang intindihin natin as OFW or aspiring OFW.

Yung tinatawag nating registered OFW.

I hope this will help us to see the importance of OEC..di lang po siya tax exemption it's for our security as an OFW..

@JHAYPEE: uy be careful with what you are saying, some people might think that I dont trust Jetty... he is the 1st person here na pinagtiwalaan ko aside from you..

@JETTY: My mom was able to call someone from the NAIA Terminal 3 and she was told na kapag less than 1 week ang stay sa pinas, you can get OEC from the POEA counter at the airport before departure. If more than a week ka naman, you have no other choice but to go to POEA to secure your OEC. So i guess since thursday ang dating ko ng pinas and im going back on Sunday, i can get it from them, sabi ng nakausap ng mom ko from POEA sa Termimal 3, pakita lang yung unang OEC na ginamit dahil yun ang proof na member ka ng OWWA.. the bottom part of the OEC has a note on there that it serves as your official OWWA & Philhealth Certificate. So pagdating sa airport, before departure, go to POEA counter then present that, pay 100 and they wil give you an OEC. Yung OWWA membership na binayaran natin along with the Philhealth and POEA Applicaton fee na nakabreakdown sa OEC, is good for 2 yrs (except for the POEA Application fee) so yung part na yun actually ang nirerenew to keep your records in POEA active. So guys, just make sure you keep your Original OEC kasi yun ang proof na member tayo ng OWWA.
I can rest assured now.. lol.. I will visit the POEA counter before ako umalis ng airport pagdating ko ng Pinas and ask them if i can get it na agad para di na ko punta sa kanila sa date ng balik ko sa Mlaaysia at derecho na ko sa checkin counter.

As per my other friend's experience naman, wala syang OEC, kakauwi lang nya galing pinas, sa terminal 3 din sya, piangbayad lang sya ng terminal fee and tax adn wala naman tinanong.. i guess it all depends sa immigration officer din minsan eh. sana lang talaga they will be able to stremaline their rules kasi ang daming namimisled tuloy..anyways, marami pa ring immigration officer na tamad na lang magcheck minsan ....at tamad din magenter ng info na nilagay mo sa departure card hay naku!

and let me add, ingat sa pagbabayad sa poea sa airport for your oec kasi may mga bad pa rin na taga-poea. yung nakilala ko kagabi at natanungan ko, yung friend nya babae and since nagmamadali na, ayun, siningil ng 1500 nung nasa poea desk.. first time nya rin magbakasyon and walang natanungan so ayun, bayad na lang para walang hassle even if dapat 100 lang syang talaga.

First and foremost...Relax guys.....hehehe..I hope this will not lead to misunderstanding...

Hi Crystelhues,

See I told you, you can get it from airport as well..hehehe...Di ko lang sigurado if saang banda dun sa NAIA Terminal 3...Local flights lang kasi ako sa NAIA 3..
About po sa OWWA and Philhealth certificate  Validity : Duration of Employment Contract but not to exceed two(2) years. - copied from my Certificate of Membership (OWWA). So in my understanding if you only have one year contract , 1 year din po ang validity, that's one of the reason why we have Balik Manggagawa OEC to verify that your employment is still active.

Actually, i just stated the worst case scenario that you can't leave the country..madami pang possible cases...madami rin po kasing immigration na ngfofollow procedure strictly kaya di nakakalipad ang mga OFW na Balik Manggawa..di rin po natin maiiwasan ang mga bad officers...Ung tipong sisingilin ka ng todo..more than 1000% ang additional..lalo sa mga walang proper orientation...siyempre dahil takot na maiwan ng plane sige bayad na lang...I pity those people...lalo yung walang proper education/knowledge about the rules and regulations.

So guys....relax and cheers...

In addition to that I think Jhaypee don't have any bad intention of saying "trust jetty", peace be with you guys... :-)

Nakakalungkot nga pong isipin na marami pa ring mga Officers sa airport na walang konsensya..Yung tipong aabusuhin ka since you badly need it...pero based on my experience wala pa nmn akong naencounter na ganyan..Kasi babanatan ko sila ng mga batas and proper procedures...hehehe..or else mgfifile ako ng complain...hehehe..Actually, ngyari yan sa baggage ko..ayaw akong padaanin sa waiting area kasi my dala akong chichacorn at dried mangoes..bawal daw at iwan ko daw sa kanila..ang sagot ko...wala po yan sa Aviation Rules and Regulation...if there are changes can you show me which paragraph or section stating that case...hahaha..so they just let me go..ayaw nilang mas maging magulo ang buhay nila...hehehe..

Minsan po kasi pag wala kang alam they will take advantage...pero most naman are very good officers....except lang sa isang experience ko...hehehe...

I hope you will enjoy your vacation in the Philippines...make sure to get your OEC upon arrival..kasi since Sunday ang balik mo..baka walang POEA officer...mahirap na po..

thanks for the info. this is a very informative thread, especially for those na uuwi this holiday season. hassle kasi pag uuwi ka and you'll be heading straight to the provinces, mawawalan ka pa ng 1-2 day of precious vacation just in order to process the OEC. So since there a POEA Counter sa NAIA3, makaka-save pa tayo ng oras. Cheesy

Maligayang Pasko sa lahat!

The other alternative is go to our Philippine Embassy here in Malaysia.

Requirements :
1) Passport with a valid Work Permit
2) Valid Employment Contract verified by the POLO-KL / Stamp Registered by POEA
3) Proof of OWWA membership and Philhealth coverage,
4) Payment of RM10.00 for OEC and RM100.00 for OWWA

Then you will need to fill up 1 piece of paper..

If possible go to our embassy before 9am so that you will able to finish your transaction earlier..Medyo madaming tao ngaun na kumukuha ng OEC...Bring all your documents para wala pong delay..Medyo strict sila sa mga requirements.

Happy Holidays......

Hi All,

Ganu po katagal kumuha ng OEC dito sa Malaysia? Kasi sa Pinas it took me two days last time sa sobrang daming tao. Dito din ba ganun? If I go after lunch matatapos pa din ba that day?

Also, can we get multiple OEC?

TIA! Smiley
