About MYPinoyLah! The Forum The Forum
MYPinoyLah! was conceived with the idea of a forum by Filipinos (Pinoys) in Malaysia, for Filipinos in Malaysia in mind.
The forum primarily aims to be a community that would foster goodwill and camaraderie among its members and also aims to be a resource center for Pinoys who are planning or already working, residing, studying or vacationing in Malaysia.
The Administrator(s)The Administrators (Admin) are the owner(s) of this forum. As such the Admin have complete authority and rights to the forum and can execute any action the Admin deemed necessary in order to protect the dignity, reputation and orderliness of the forum without prior consultation from other forum members.
The ModeratorsThe Moderators (Mods) are the appointed enforcers of the forum. The Mods are members with extra privileges that allow them to enforce the rules and regulations. These privileges may include but not limited to removing inappropriate posts, moving posts to appropriate threads, locking or limiting access to certain threads/topics. Mods can exercise these privileges and any other privileges granted to them not aforementioned to protect the dignity, reputation and orderliness of the forum without prior notice to the offending party/parties. All Mods are answerable to the Admin(s) and other Mods regarding how they use these privileges.
The MembersAny individual who has completed the registration may be a member. Although the forum is public it is still privately owned and as such, membership is a privilege granted by the owner(s) of the forum and not a right. Membership in the forum is not exclusive to any particular group of people. People in all walks of life, race, religious belief, creed nationality or
any individual who agrees to abide by the rules and regulations are welcome and encouraged to be a member.
Forum Rules and RegulationsThe following rules and regulations are agreed upon by the forum’s Admin(s) and Mods. All members are advised to read the rules and regulations as listed below. 1. Before posting new topics/threads members are encouraged to check all existing topics/threads to avoid double posting of topics/threads of similar content. The SEARCH field on the upper right side of the forum page may help you search the forum for existing topics/threads.
2. When titling topics/threads members are expected to be consistent with the titles and must reflect the content of the topic he/she is posting. Mods and/or Admin may and can take action(s) regarding misleading or inappropriate titles.
3. When posting the topic’s content, shorthand or “text/SMS” typing is discouraged. The forum encourages the use of proper spelling, Pilipino or English, so that all posts or comments are clear and not misunderstood.
4. Posting of obscene, offensive, gory photos or any photos that may generally cause any sort of discomfort to others will be deleted and may take appropriate actions against the offending party/parties.
5. Foul language, flaming, verbal insults and other forms of trolling in any script or any language are not encouraged. Failure to heed warnings from Mods and/or Admin(s) will result in appropriate actions.
6. Racists, Sexist, Stereotyping, generalizations, expressions of hate or any discriminatory comments against a person, group of people, religion, ethnicity, nationality, organizations etc will not be tolerated.
7. Spamming is not allowed and will be removed and may result in appropriate action(s) against the offending party/parties.
8. However members are reminded to avoid posting comments that may result in a Country versus Country (CvsC) or a “my country is better than your country” debate.
9. When citing articles, facts or other information regarding any topic, please provide links or reference the source so that others may read and verify the info for themselves.
10. Members are advised to avoid posting their personal information in the public threads such as emails, mobile number, address etc. Other people can view such information and may use it to whatever means they please. Posting of other people’s personal information without permission from that person is also discouraged. The forum encourages each member to protect their own privacy and respect the privacy of others. Private information or exchange of private information is best coursed through the Private Messaging (PM) function.
11. Humor is encouraged as long as it does not veer the discussions off topic.
12. Finally, all members are expected keep the rules and regulations in mind when posting or commenting. All members are encouraged to help keep this forum as a resource center that everyone can learn and benefit from. Happy posting and enjoy the forum folks!
The rules and regulations of the MYPinoyLah! forum are henceforth defined but not limited to what has been set above. The Admin and/or Mods reserve the right and privilege to modify the rules and regulations as the situation may require.
Admin(s) and Mods will and can enforce the rules and regulations and apply appropriate action(s) to any offending party/parties as they see fit.
