Senior System Administrator

At least 5 years experience in system administration in the webhosting industry.
Work based in: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Genuine work permit will be process by Employer. Candidates must be
prepared to be relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Occasional travelling to Singapore or Australia may be required.
Contract of minimum 2 years.


Must possess the following skill set

Good understanding of Linux O/S (centos, ubuntu, fedora core etc)
Understand PHP, APACHE, MYSQL and other web hosting technologies well.
Windows Server 200x
Cpanel, Plesk, Directadmin, Webmin
Openvz, Xen virtualisation.
Good understanding of LVM, RAID and other remote storage technology
CDN/Cloud technology
Good working knowledge of network administration
Firewall setup and administration
Linux shell scripting

Main duties

You will liase with level 1 and 2 techicians to provide support to our clients
Server monitoring and administration.
Ensure backups are current and available for restores.
Trouble shoot level 3 issues
Oversee and rectify Emergency Situation - ie: server restore
Ensure that procedures and reporting are adhere.

Expectation
You're expected to be fully committed to the job. Plainly speaking, you will be given a Blackberry Phone and if there is an emergency, you are expected to attend to it asap.

Can I refer a friend? Currently he is a SysAd 3 in Lexmark Cebu, 8 years experience in ISP (Dial-up) then another 5 years experience in another ISP (Cable Internet ISP) then running 5years SysAd in Lexmark.
