hi,

how can I get a drivers license here in MY? and are we allowed to own a car? what are the processes and kung ano ano pa, ex. kailangan pa ba mag drivers lesson, etc.....pls...kung sino man sa inyo na may sasakyan na dito sa MY pls. advise...thanx ng marami...

wala akong sasakyan pero kung may LTO lic. ka can lah. pwede ka din mag apply ganun ginawa ng friend ko.

meron ako pero iniwan ko sa pinas pre..hehehehe...so pwedi pala dito na mag apply...tnx

You need to undergo driving lessons. The fee is RM800 all in, pero pwede tumaas depende kung ilang beses kang mag-re-re-sit for the exam. Yes, you can own a car as long as it is not a carjack unit! (Peace Bro. Joke lang po!)

just a quick info : you can use your PH Driving License here in MY as long as its Valid although ang limitation nia 2 months since last entry mo sa Malaysia,

Your allowed to use your driving license up to : Febuary 27, 2012

MY License pano process?

pwde na PH license mo since it's in English. Pagsinita ka, pakita mo mykad mo or photocopy ng passport.

basta wag ka na lang magpahuli.

with regards to buying, pwede naman. Actually ung binilhan namin, di naman naghanap , passport lang in-ask na copy.

MY License pano process?

- kakukuha lng nmin ng international driving permit (IDP) sa AAP thru LTO sa atin. pwede ka din magdirect na apply dun saa AAP. After nming makuha ung IDP, nagreport kmi agad sa jpj pagdating nmin sa sarawak para maendorse ung license. pagdating nmin sa jpj, ang sabi nung officer in charge, no need to convert or endorse ung IDP. As long as valid ung phil. license, kasi dun nakabase ung validity ng IDP. pag sinita daw ng police, ipakita lang ang IDP, PH DRIVERS LICENSE at passport.

pwede ba magparenew license kahit andito sa KL? meron pa PH group or office pwede mag process renewal? kasi ayaw ako pa renew dati sa pinas bago ako umalis kasi daw 2months before expiration pa eh

wala po renew ng lic dito, sa Pinas pa din kayo magpaparenew ng license niyo.

I just got my MY License the other day from JPJ.

Share ko sa inyo yung process.

Remarks:
1. I don't have any International Driver's License
2. I only have a PH Driver's License

Prepare these things.
1. Photocopy of Passport and Visa (At least 3 Copies)
2. Photocopy of Driver's License and Official Receipt (At least 3 Copies)

Process:
Philippine Embassy:
1. Go to our Philippine Embassy

2. Apply Authentication Letter for your PH Driver's License. (RM96.25)
Authentication letter will be processed for 3 days. You need to comeback
after 3 days. Keep the receipt.

3. If your Authentication Letter has been released, you can now proceed to
JPJ (LTO Office nila).

4. Get an application form and number. Fill-up all the necessary fields and wait for your number to be called.

5. Give the Authentication Letter and Photocopy of Driver's License and Receipt, Photocopy of Passport/Visa.

6. Pay the corresponding License Fee.
It depends on how many years you want your license to be valid.
I paid RM65 for 2 years. Makukuha niyo agad ung MY license.

If MY License Renewal, do you still need to go to Phil embassy for the Authetication Letter?

I think no need na cause your Philippine Driver's License was already converted to Malaysia Driver's License.

UPDATE:

I called JPJ regarding renewal. Hindi na kailangan pumunta sa embassy to get an Authentication Letter.

Ang required ay expired MY License.

Whew, hindi na kailangang tumakas sa office ng tatlong beses. (2 @ embassy, 1 @ JPJ).
