Mag Kabayan,

You can use this link from Bank Negara (Central bank) as a guide for forex rates:

http://www.bnm.gov.my/statistics/exchangerates.php

These rates are more or less averages of all the bank rates in Mal, so kung yung money changer is mas mababa ang palitan vs the above rates, then look for another one!

at sa mga nalilito tulad ko sa "buying and selling", eto ang simple explanation.

first, the "buying /selling" columns always refer to the local currency. so as an example, we use PHP:

Php100 - Buying-7.25 ; Selling - 7.27

Buying -  to BUY 7.25 of RM, you need to exchange 100 of PHP. (this is the rate to follow kung gusto mo ipalit ang peso mo to rinngit)

Selling - to get 100 of PHP, you need to SELL 7.27 of RM. (this is the rate to follow kung gusto mo ipalit ang ringgit mo back to peso)

so kung RM naman (eto kung mgreremit ka):

Rm1 - Buying-13.75 ;   Selling - 13.78

Buying - to buy php13.75, you need to exchange RM1
Selling - if you sell php13.78, you get RM1

sana hindi kyo mas nalito sa explanation ko!
