Me and my wife are foodies so I will start this thread by posting some of the places we've tried that serves good food in Malaysia.

1. Restoran Kin Kin - They serve the Best Chili Pan Mee (Dried Noodles) I have ever tasted in my life;D. My wife and I first found out about this resto more than 2 years ago via a recommendation from one of my wife's friends and we have been regularly going there eversince. They have 2 branches, addresses below. The main branch in Chow Kit is needless to say the oldest branch which is the first resto where we were a regular. The main is a place where good food is a focus and not the ambiance. It may look run down and dirty to the decerning diner but if your not too much of an "ambiance" person, like my wife and I and you have no problem eating in a carinderia back home then I dont think you will have any problem with the place. The second branch in Pandan Indah is newer and more classy and cleaner to look at than the main branch. My wife and I eat at the Pandan Indah branch becuase it's much closer to the place we moved into. A bowl would cost you less than 6 RM but it's worth every cent/sen;D

Address Main Branch:
40 Ground Floor,
Jalan Dewan Sultan Sulaiman 1,
Off Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman,
Chow Kit, KL.

Address Pandan Indah Branch:
Jalan Perubatan 4, Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur
6-G, Jalan Perubatan 4, Off Jalan Pandan Ilmu

2. Fatty Crab Restaurant - They serve very good chili crab, No Joke Grin. This is one of the places where I take visiting relatives and friends out for dinner. They serve Crab by the Kilo adn be sure to be there early because if you arrive late you will ahve to wait to be seated. And we all know that pinoys generally dont like qeueing for food...hehehe! The Chicek wings is alsi worth trying. I dont remember how much per kilo but Im thinking its somewhere 30-40RM or maybe less...Best to go there and try it first and you decide if its worth the money Smiley

Address: Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Fatty Crab Restaurant
No 2, Jln SS 24/13 , Taman Megah, Petaling Jaya

If you guys have any good places to eat in KL or Malaysia, please share it...I will post more soon...Cheers

Ah yes Cagayan...I've eaten there twice na cguro...Lutong bahay ika nga, luto ni nanay...Did you know locals ang owners nun? They are from East Malaysia and they planned to set up a Japanese Resto in Canterpoint mall. But when they were in talks with the Mall management to set up the business the management suggested setting up something different instead. And since the staff they planned to hire were pinoys, they decided to set up a Filipino resto instead. Atleast that was the story I read sa isang magazine..hehehe...Madami pa ba nakain dun?

That was a very good information about Cagayan history...Yup...Madami pa ring kumakain dun. Since they serve very good foods.....Yummy foods with affordable prices..

If you want other Filipino food with cheaper prices, you may go to St. John Church located nearby Masjid Jamek church....madami ngtitinda sa labas ng church - they also have frozen foods like Tocino and longganisa, Bibingka and other delicacies.

If you want to buy some Filipino Stuffs you can go to Kota Raya you can see a Filipino Store - products from Philippines..kasama na mga pocket books,Pirated DVD's, grocery items and many others.

Aside from foods, they offer variety of services like Hair cut, Nail treatment, ukay ukay, Kulot and take note it comes with free Chikka Minute...hehehehe

I usually go with my wife to Old Town Cafe around here in pandan indah.. another one is Station 1 Cafe where you can relax drinking even beer and of course with wifi... for those who are looking for a roamntic place na walang masyadong nagpupunta go to rooftop of Safari Lagoon in pandan perdana... we used to go there to swim (smaller snway lagoon) but they closed it and converted to a poolside restaurant serving malay and western food. Pag trip niyo naman na may kasamang window shopping ah pavillion na tayo.. andun ang Pancake House na masarap at affordable... d best ang bangus nila... andun din ang Carl's Jr. which is my kids favorite place during weekends.. the burgers are american size, the drinks are bottomless and the place is cozy just like eating at home with somebody else cleaning all you mess.... have fun and don't forget to invite me let's meet and eat!

Is there a good Noodles House (japanese sana) that you can suggest?

I tried Nagomi Restaurant in Jaya33 Petaling Jaya, the food is good but it's to pricey to have a bowl of Ramen.

any place for good eats especially for tourist to enjoy the local cuisine? at a affordable price? and how to get there hehehe.

Agree po ako sa Jalan Alor is one of the best places to eat chinese food with a malay, thai twist... meaning meron din mga ihaw ihaw at ang fave ko ay grilled stingray... must try for newbies in KL, very accessible din kahit walang sasakyan...
